OUR BELIEFS
We believe the Bible is God’s inerrant, inspired word and is authoritative for life (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21).
We believe in one God consisting of three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14).
We believe Jesus is the perfect and divine Son of God who was born miraculously of Mary, died on the cross for the sins of others, and was physically resurrected from the dead three days later (John 1:1, 14; Luke 1:34-35; 1 Cor. 15:3-4).
We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine Person who indwells and empowers the church to be a witness for Jesus (Acts 1:8; 1 Cor. 3:16).
We believe humans have fallen into sin and need salvation through Jesus (Rom. 3:23-24; Eph. 2:8-9).
We believe people will live eternally in either heaven or hell (John 14:2-3; Rev. 20:15).
We believe Jesus will return to bring judgment and establish his earthly kingdom (Matt. 24:30-31; Rev. 20:4-6).
Catalyst Church San Diego is a Baptist church. We are a cooperating church with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC), the California Southern Baptist Convention (CSBC), and the San Diego Southern Baptist Association (SDSBA). We are also part of the Pillar Network. Our church supports the mission work of the SBC, including the North American Mission Board and the International Mission Board. Our church affirms the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.
