What is the Nehemiah Project?

In March 2020 God provided Catalyst Church with a permanent home in Paradise Hills, San Diego. Previously the Paradise Hills Southern Baptist Church, the building is situated in the heart of Paradise Hills with a beautiful view of the San Diego Bay. After settling into our new home over the past year, we now see some opportunities to spruce up our beloved church campus. We believe that much like Nehemiah strengthened the Israelite community through the restoration of Jerusalem's wall, the refurbishment of our Catalyst Church grounds will only strengthen and further unify our church family.

The Nehemiah Project will be carried out in multiple phases, with our first phase beginning in early 2021. In this first phase of the project, we are planning on the following improvements:

  • Eurich Hall renovation (new carpet, new tables & chairs, fresh paint)
  • Building and planting a Sanctuary Garden - an outdoor garden space for anyone to enjoy a fresh, tranquil moment with God outside
  • Front Exterior improvements (a new leveled patio area off the front of the sanctuary, fresh paint, landscaping)

As we move forward with beautifying our church campus, we want to invite you to partner with us in this project!
